 Important Changes Spring 2008

From Highway 75 Going North:

1. Go north on Highway 75 to Highway 101. Take the West Exit (the exit loop under the over pass on the right hand side).
2. Stay on Highway 101 briefly till you reach Waverley Street, the first set of lights. Turn Right.
3. Go north and keep going north till you reach Bishop Grandin Blvd. It is a major intersection, turn left.
4. Bishop Grandin Avenue turns north, keep on the road. It is also called Route 90.
5. Keep on Route 90, the actual street name will change but the route number will not. Route 90 will also split into two one ways.
6. Right after the Route 90 one way split converges back together you will turn right onto Dublin Ave. Follow Dublin till it runs into Norte Dame Ave. No turning, Dublin just flows into Notre Dame.
7. Shortly after you are on Notre Dame Avenue on the right side is Hawkins, 1380 Notre Dame Avenue. Just over the railroad tracks. A very large Hawkins sign is located in plain view.

From Highway 7:

1. Once past Highway 101, Highway 7 turns into Route 90.
2. Keep on Route 90 till you reach Dublin Ave. Turn Left.
3. Follow Dublin till it runs into Notre Dame Ave. No turning Dublin just flows into Notre Dame.
4. Shortly after you are on Notre Dame Avenue on the right side is Hawkins, 1380 Notre Dame Avenue. Just over the railroad tracks. A very large Hawkins sign is located in plain view.
5. If you pass the airport you have gone too far on Route 90.

From Highway 6:

1. Highway 6 runs into Highway 101. Turn Left.
2. Follow Highway 101 till you reach Highway 7. Turn right (see map above) onto Highway 7. South of Highway 101, Highway 7 turns into Route 90.
3. Follow Highway 7 directions above.

From Highway 1 East:

1. Once past Highway 101, Highway 1 turns into Fermor Avenue.
2. Follow Fermor till you reach St. Mary’s Road. Turn right.
3. Follow St. Mary’s Road till you get to Broadway Ave, turn left. Broadway is just over the bridge and is basically downtown Winnipeg.
4. When you see the Manitoba Legislative building turn right onto Memorial Blvd.
5. Keep following Memorial going north. This section of road changes name 3 times in just a few city blocks (Memorial – Colony – Balmoral). This section is also called Route 62.
6. You will reach Notre Dame Avenue, Turn left.
7. Follow Notre Dame Avenue till you reach 1380 Notre Dame Ave. A large Hawkins Taxidermists sign is on the left hand side of Notre Dame.
8. If Notre Dame splits into what looks like two separate roads one going north and one straight and you have gone over some railroad tracks you have gone too far.

From Highway 1 West:

1. After you pass Highway 101, Highway 1 will turn into Portage Ave.
2. Follow Portage Avenue a long way. You will eventually pass a large shopping mall called Polo Park. As soon as you see the mall, get into the right lane.
3. Take the right hand off ramp/exit onto Empress Street. It is before the overpass.
4. This exit will bend around and take you over Portage Avenue. Follow Empress until you get to the very end of the street. You will pass a Home depot, Wall Mart and several other shopping centers.
5. Saskatchewan Avenue is at the end of Empress Street. Turn right.
6. The road will bend North and this short road is called Midland Street.
7. Midland Street runs into Notre Dame Ave. Turn Right. Hawkins Taxidermy is right after the turn on the right side..
8. A large Hawkins Taxidermists sign is on the right hand side of Notre Dame.
